About
ConfigureHow explains the standards behind the consumer technology you already own: home networking and Wi-Fi, TV and audio connections, and file formats.
The approach is deliberately narrow. Rather than walking through menus that move with every firmware update, the guides explain how the underlying standard works, so you can find the right setting on whatever hardware you happen to have. Where a specification publishes a figure, that figure is cited and linked.
Every article lists the sources it was written from. Those links are the documents actually used, not a reading list.
Corrections
Technical specifications change and articles fall out of date. Factual errors are corrected in place, and the update date at the top of an article changes when they are. If something here is wrong, the contact page has the address.
