How to create a new account on Windows 10 PC
If you are going to share a PC Windows 10 with a second person and you want to create an account completely dedicated to the latter, you have two possible options with which to proceed: associate a computer with a Microsoft profile, be it new or existing, or create a new one local account. The advantage of a Microsoft account lies in the ability to synchronize data and settings between multiple computers, to download applications from the Windows Store and to simplify a series of common operations: also make the most appropriate choice, based on what are the need of the moment.
To create a new Windows 10 profile associated with a Microsoft account, proceed as follows: to start, click on the button Home (the symbol of pennant located at the bottom left), select the icon in the shape ofgear present in the menu that opens and, once in the panel dedicated to Windows settings, click on the icon first Account and then on the voice Family and other users, which resides in the left sidebar.
Pray click on your button [+] placed next to the wording Add another user to this PC and wait for the window dedicated to Microsoft account management to appear on the screen; now, if you know theemail address (or phone number) associated with the Microsoft account of the person to add, enter it in the appropriate text field and click on the button NEXT, in order to prepare the PC to log on with the specified account.
From this moment on, the legitimate owner of the account will be able to log in to Windows 10, simply by entering their password; at the first access, it is essential that the PC is connected to the Internet, in order to validate the identity.
If, on the other hand, the user in question does not have a Microsoft account, or if you do not know the login information and want to create an account from scratch, click on the link I don't have this person's login information and then on the link Create a new email address, located on the next screen.
Following this step, the procedure for creating a new Microsoft profile will start: enter the New e-mail address to be used for the purpose, click on the button NEXT, Create a password to use to log in and click the button again NEXT.
After this step too, fill in the forms displayed indicating name, last name e date of birth of the new user and click on the button NEXT to complete the creation of the Microsoft account, which will be immediately associated with the computer and ready to be used.
By default, newly created users are of type standard; if you wish to grant administrator privileges to the newly created user, click on his name resident in the window Family and other usersclick on your button Change account type, set the drop-down menu Account type su CEO and click on the button OK, to complete it all.
If you prefer, instead, to create a local account, do this: First, enter the menu Settings> Accounts> Family and other users of Windows 10, following the same steps seen a little while ago, click on the button for add another user to the PC and, when the Microsoft account login screen appears, click on the entry I don't have this person's login information located inside.
Now, click on the link Add a user without a Microsoft account and fill in the next form with the requested information: the username to be associated with the new profile, the Password to be used to access it (twice) and, finally, three questions e three answers security, which can be used in case the password is forgotten.
Infine, click your button NEXT, to complete the creation process and create the account. Again, by default, the new profile will have standard privileges; to make him an administrator, click his name, by pressing the button Change your account type, select the voice CEO in the drop-down menu Account type and click on the button OK.
How to create another account on Windows 8 PC
Also Windows 8.x, just like Windows 10, allows you to create another account on the PC either by associating it with a Microsoft profile or locally. Below I will explain how to do it in both cases.
To create another user on Windows 8.1 and associate him with a Microsoft profile, first call up the settings charm by pressing the key combination Win + I on the keyboard, click on the item Change PC settings that appears inside it and you reach the sections Account e Other accounts, recalling them from the left sidebar of the new screen that has opened.
Pray click on your button Add an account and, if you already have a Microsoft profile to associate, enter itse-mail in the appropriate field and click on the buttons NEXT e end, in order to add the new user to the computer (at the first access, the PC must necessarily be connected to the Internet).
If, on the other hand, you need to create a new Microsoft account, click on the item Sign up to get a new email address and fill out the next form with the requested information: name, last name, email address, Password (for two consecutive times) e Country of residence.
Fatto ciò, click on your button NEXT, specify the date of birth of the new user, the sex and a choice of information between telephone number e alternative email address; press again on NEXT and, if required, exceeds the anti-robot control. Again, the account will not have administrative permissions; to grant it, click on his name, by pressing the button Modification, set the drop-down menu Account type su CEO and click on the button OK.
How to create another account on Windows 7 PC
As you certainly know, unlike the most recent editions of the Microsoft operating system, Windows 7 supports access only through a local account, not synchronized in any way with Microsoft or with other cloud systems.
Therefore, to create another account on the Windows 7 PC, you must necessarily act from Control Panel: therefore calls the latter from the menu Home (accessible by clicking on the colored flag which resides at the bottom left) and selects the item Add or remove user accounts located in the window that appears. If you need to create a new Gmail address, click on the item instead Create an account, specify yours name, last name, username and Password login for the new profile and click on the button NEXT; if requested, do the identity verification by entering a valid phone numberclick the button NEXT and enter, when prompted, the six-digit code that was delivered to you via SMS.
Now, hit the button again NEXT, fill in the text boxes relating to the requested information (date of birth e sex) and click on the buttons NEXT, Create account e Confirmation to finish creating the account. In the end, granted the connection between Windows 10 and Google, responding in the affirmative to the warning that appears.
After providing the required authorization, the profile will be added to the operating system and its information will be accessible (and synchronized) through the applications Mail, Contacts e Calendar on Windows 10.
Also MacOS allows you to quickly associate a new Google account to the system, thus making it available for applications that request it.
