    How to create emoticons for Twitch

    Before explaining to you how to create emotes for Twitch, it is good that you are aware of some important information in this regard.

    For example, you should know that custom emotes can only be unlocked by owning theaffiliation with Twitch. To get it, the channel, as well as having at least 50 follower, must have met other requirements in the past 30 days: those listed below.

    • Have a minimum of 500 minutes live totals;
    • Having started a live in idle 7 days different;
    • Have an average of at least 3 spectators simultaneously.

    Once all these above requirements are met, the channel will receive a message to the email that has been assigned to it, which will contain the request to become Twitch affiliate and have access to all the resulting benefits, including the ability to add custom emotes.

    At this point, you need to know that there are two types of emotes you can add to your Twitch channel: the subscriber emote and bit-level emote. There is no substantial difference between them, other than the fact that viewers can get access to the former by subscribing to the channel and the latter by donating bits to the channel.

    Each type of emote, then, must have certain requirements in order to be uploaded to its own channel, which I report below.

    • It must have a size that does not exceed 1 MB.
    • The resolution must be between i 112 x 112 and 4096 4096 pixels x.
    • Animated files cannot be loaded.
    • They must have one square form.

    In any case, if you need to get hold of emotes and don't have the time or skills to create them yourself, you could rely on professionals. A very established name in this field, for example, is that of the your language illustrator and streamer Ckibe.

    Lastly, before proceeding, I would like to remind you to make sure that the emotes you upload to your channel do not violate Twitch rules. Using emotes unsuitable for the platform could lead to severe penalties for your channel, including banning from the site.
