Register a domain on Google
Google Domains is a service that allows you to register a domain for a fee, starting from 12 euros / year. Although it is also available in the city, at the time of writing this guide it is not possible to register domains with .com extension.
To buy a domain on Google, connect to the main page of Google Domains and, if you have not already done so, log in with your account by clicking on the button Log in top right. On the newly opened page, select yours account, enter the passkey in the field Enter your password and click sul pulsating NEXT. If you don't have a Google account, I'll leave you to my in-depth guide.
Now, click on the entry Find a new domain present in the sidebar on the left or presses the button Find the perfect domain, insertion il domain of your interest in the appropriate field and click on the icon magnifying glass to check availability. If the domain entered is available, click on its icon cart, otherwise repeat the search or choose one of the relevant domains shown on the screen.
On the screen Registration, choose whether to disable automatic renewal by moving the lever next to the item Automatic renewal activated da ON a OFF and choose whether to register the domain anonymously by making sure that the toggle next to the option Privacy protection activated both ON. Press the button Payment, inseerisci i tuoi dati nei campi Your name, With, Postal code, City, Province, Telephone and click on the button Save e Continue.
On the screen Purchase control, enter the missing billing information and press the button Continue, then enter your credit or debit card details in the fields Card number, MM / YY (with expiration date), CVV e Cardholder's Name e pulsing sul pulsating Buy Now to complete your domain registration.
To view domains purchased on Google Domains with your Google account, click the ≡ button at the top left and select the option My domains.
Register a domain for free
If you are wondering if it is possible register a domain for free, the answer is yes. In fact, there are services that allow you to obtain both second-level domains (e.g. www.nomesito.extension) and third-level domains (e.g. www.nomesito.dominiohostingratuito.extension) at no cost, albeit with some limitations, of which you I will talk in the next paragraphs.
If your goal is to register a second level domain to redirect visitors to your main website and you have no interest in the type of extension associated with it, you can consider I freenode, a service that offers domains with the extension .tk, .ml, .ga, .cf e .gq free for 12 months with the possibility of renewal.
To register a second level domain with Freenom, connected to the website of the service, enter the domain you want to register in the field Find a free domino and check its availability by pressing the button Check availability. In the newly opened page, if the chosen domain is available for free, click on the button Checkout, otherwise press the button Select related to one of the free domains available visible in the table below and choose the option Checkout to proceed with registration.
Now, via the drop down menu Period, select the domain registration period (1 to 12 months is free) and click the button Forward this domain to set up a redirect to another website by entering its URL in the field Forward this domain to. Alternatively, press the button Use DNS to set up a redirect via DNS.

Then click on the link in question to verify your identity and continue with the registration.
In the new open page, enter the required data in the required fields First name (your name), Last name (your surname), Address (your address), City (your city of residence) e Password, place a check mark next to the option I have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions e pulsing sul pulsating Complete order to complete the registration of your free domain. If, on the other hand, your intention is to register a free third level domain and also get free hosting, you will be happy to know that there are numerous solutions available to you. Among the most used services there is Altervista, which allows you to create a website with WordPress without spending a dime.
To register your domain (with extension . Org) and get free hosting with storage space and unlimited traffic, connected to the Altervista website, press the buttons Create site e Continue and insertion il domain name in the appropriate field. Then enter your personal data in the fields Your name, Last name, Gender, Year of birth ed Email, put the check marks required to continue with the registration and press the button Continue.

Register a domain on Aruba
If the idea of registering a free domain does not excite you and you are willing to rely on a paid service, you can choose to register a domain on Aruba. In fact, the famous your language company allows you to purchase both a domain and a complete hosting package for the creation of your website.
Aruba hosting packages are among the most complete and can be based on either Linux that of Windows. Those based on Linux they offer support for numerous free software and CMS, such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Prestashop and Magento. To register a domain on Aruba, connected to the official website of the company, enter the name of the domain of your interest in the field your domain, select the extension from the drop-down menu in which the option appears . It and click on the button Search to check availability.
If the indicated domain is available, it will appear in a green box and the writing will be visible Available for purchase. If not, you'll see the option This domain is already registered with the ability to select one of the proposed domains based on your search. In the newly opened page, if your intention is to register the domain only, locate the section Domain registration and put the check mark next to one of the available options (Domain with DNS + Email Management, Domain with Redirect + Email, Domain with DNS Management e Domain with Redirect) depending on your needs. Register a domain on GoDaddy
GoDaddy is another valid solution to consider when registering a domain. In addition, it also allows you to purchase both a hosting package for the creation of your website relying on famous CMS, such as WordPress, Joomla or Drupal, which one of the packages Website builder which allows less experienced users to build and customize their own website in complete autonomy.
To register a domain with GoDaddy, connected to the company's website, click on the button Find the domain name that's right for you, enter the domain of your interest in the field Type here what you are looking for and press pulsating Search. In the new open page, if you have not previously specified any extension (eg. . It, .com, . Org, . Info etc.), the availability of the chosen domain with extension will be shown in the foreground .com, while at the bottom of the page you can see all the available extensions and a useful box to set the search filters (Length in characters, Price, Country / Location etc.).
After checking the availability of the domain indicated above, choosing the extension you are interested in and taking note of the prices, click on the button Add to Cart related to the domain and extension of your interest and press the button Go to cart present at the top right to proceed with its registration.
In the new page opened, if you wish, choose the services to be associated with your domain. First, select the privacy protection level you prefer among Basic level of privacy protection (free), Complete personal privacy protection (13,41 euros / year) e Ultimate domain protection and security (20,73 euros / year).
In the box Create your website for FREE, leave the check mark if you intend to try the service for free for 1 month Website Builder which, as mentioned above, allows you to easily create your own website. At the end of the promotional period, you can choose whether to continue using the service by choosing the package that best suits your needs.

Once you have chosen the services of your interest, click on the button Go to cart and, in the new screen displayed, specify for how many years to purchase the selected domain (minimum 1 year, maximum 10 years) and check the summary of your order.
Now, if you are already a GoDaddy customer, click on the button Log in, enter your account details in the fields Username or customer code e Password and click on the button Log in. If you don't have an account yet, choose the option Create account, fill out the registration form by entering the required data in the fields Email, Username e Password (at least 9 characters including a number, an uppercase and a lowercase letter), select one of the available options from Accept o Reject to receive or not personalized offers and information on GoDaddy services and products by email and click on the button Create account.
In the Billing Information, enter your billing information in the fields Your name, Last name, Phone Number, Address, POSTAL CODE, Province, City, Company e VAT number o Tax code (the latter two are not mandatory data) and press the button Save, then choose the payment method you prefer from À la Carte (are accepted Visa, MasterCard e American Express), PayPal e UnionPay.
Now, if you have chosen to pay with your payment card, enter the details in the fields Card number, End Date e Security code and press pulsating Save, otherwise press the button Authorize PayPal, enter your account details in the fields Email address e Password and click sui pulsnti Log in e Accetta and continue. If, on the other hand, you have chosen to pay with UnionPay, at the time of completing the purchase you will be redirected to the website of the payment service.

Register an anonymous domain
If your intention is to open a website without showing your personal data, you can consider the possibility of register an anonymous domain. All you have to do when registering a domain is to make sure the service is available WHOIS privacy o ID protection and request its activation
These services, which sometimes have an additional cost, allow you to "mask" the data entered when registering the domain, hiding them from those who would like to have more information on the owner of the same. However, it is necessary to make a necessary premise: anonymity is not available on all domain extensions (for example for domains with .com extension, the name and surname of the holder remain visible) and the providers are required to provide the data of the registrant should these be requested by the authorities.
Having said that, to register an anonymous domain, connect to the site of the company on which you intend to register your domain, check the availability of the latter and proceed with the purchase. When ordering, identify the option for privacy protection, make sure it is activated and complete your order.

Register a .com domain
Do you want register a .com domain? in this case, you must know the purchase procedure for a domain is identical regardless of the extension of your interest.
